Find Your Perfect Knicker Size

Choosing the right underwear size doesn’t have to be tricky. Our knickers are ethically handmade in Cape Town, South Africa, and each size is made to the measurements shown in our size chart below. Because sizing can vary between brands and retailers, the best way to choose your Lingerie Letters size is to measure yourself and compare your measurements with our size guide.

Lingerie Letters Knicker Size Chart

Our measurements are specific to Lingerie Letters and may differ from the size you normally wear at other retailers.

If you’re buying from us for the first time, we recommend checking your measurements rather than relying on your usual clothing or underwear size.

How to Measure for Your Knicker Size

For the most accurate result, use a soft measuring tape and measure directly against your body without pulling the tape tight. Keep the tape comfortably against your body without squeezing or compressing the area you’re measuring.

Tip: If you’re measuring yourself, it’s easiest to use a mirror to make sure the tape stays level all the way around your body.

Compare your measurements with our size chart to find the closest match.

BUST

Lift both arms out to the side and measure around the fullest part of the chest.

WAIST

Measure around your natural waistline, usually the narrowest part of your torso. Keep the tape level and comfortably loose.

HIPS

Stand with your legs together and measure around the fullest or widest part of your hips and bottom. Keep the tape level all the way around.

What If I’m Between Sizes?

If your measurements fall between two sizes, take a look at the fit and style of the particular pair you’re interested in. If you’re still unsure, we’re happy to help you choose! Simply email your Panty Pen Pal Lily at [email protected] and she’ll gladly assist you.

Why Your Usual Underwear Size May Be Different

Underwear sizing isn’t completely standardised between brands. Different retailers and manufacturers may use different measurements for the same size label. For example, you may wear a Small from one retailer but need a Medium in Lingerie Letters. That’s why we recommend using your actual measurements rather than assuming your usual size will be the same.
