With it being Women’s Month and everyone knows women need to be constantly celebrated as we are goddesses after all! At least this is what I keep telling my husband, I’m sure one day he will believe me… hehe! As women are the heart of the home, I thought I would share something special with all of you, that will hopefully make you feel warm and fuzzy.
I am a huge foodie… actually to be honest I don’t just love food… I LOVE food! Especially the sweeter, decadent and luxurious kind. I spend a lot of my free time trying to exercise off all the delicious treats I have been baking and subsequently eating. My friends and I have formed what I like to call a bake club. Every weekend we get together and bake something. We have made cupcakes, sugar cookies, rice crispy treats, and many more sweet treats. We are always on the lookout for a new baking challenge and it is through this common interest that our friendship has grown, strengthen and blossomed.
It is these relationships in life that we as women seek out, nurturer and cherish. The friend who knows you have had a bad day and suggests making cookies or taking you shopping… just to make you feel better. I could not imagine my life without these special people in my life that stand by me, pick me up when I have fallen and laugh with and at me when I am clowning around. For this reason and in honour of not only my friend’s but women everywhere that know and understand these special bonds we create. And, also maybe because I can be a little sentimental at times… I am sharing a different kind of recipe – a recipe for a Happy Life.
I came across this recipe online while I was searching for baking inspiration and it struck a chord with me. I am not sure who the original author is, but I love the message and reminder it provides. May it touch your heart, soul and life as much as it has mine.
